  • This table mat is woven on a unique narrow handloom in Melukote using naturally dyed ambara charaka handspun yarn. The mat’s surface is naturally dense and slightly textured, and it sits flat under plates, bowls, and hot dishes without extra support. Two sides hold the natural selvedge edge from the loom, and the other two sides carry an eyelash fringe finished with stitching. Dining table mats rarely come with this kind of skill or material honesty. If you're looking for cotton table mats that carry both function and meaning, this is a good one to have.
