About Publication

At Janapada Prakashana, our focus is clear — to bring out literature that supports the vision of life organised based on Truth and Love.
Our first publication, the Kannada translation of “One Straw Revolution” by Masanobu Fukuoka, was released in 1988. Since then, it has found its way into over 25,000 hands. This powerful book has quietly shaped the lives of thousands in Karnataka, becoming a touchstone for those who turned to natural and organic farming, not as a trend, but as a way of life.
In 2023, we published the Kannada translation of “Economy of Permanence” by J.C. Kumarappa. Often seen as a foundational work for building a society rooted in swaraj, the book invites readers to rethink systems, values, and everyday life practices.
More titles are in the making. Each one will be written with care, translated with thought, and offered with the hope that it will spark deeper reflection and stronger community action.
